Bushbashers • Glenn Rock Stitchers • Brisbane Valley Line Dancers

Esk Busbashers have been entertaining folk from all over South-East Queensland for over thirty years. Every second Tuesday you’ll find them welcoming folk to their campfire in the Anglican Hall in Esk.

Our gang of twenty Bushbashers sing, play, and tell tales of life in the bush to around 1,000 people who are bussed in from their retirement villages and clubs from as far afield as Beaudesert to the south, Gympie to the north and Toowoomba to the west, and all points in between.

The fun round our campfire goes from 11.00am to 2.30pm where we dance and sing and remember Waltzing Matilda, Cobb & Co and other Aussie classics. After lunch there’s a trip down memory lane where you can Pack up Your Troubles and enjoy a good old fashioned sing-a-long.

Glen Rock Stitchers, originally Glen Rock Quilters, have been meeting in the Anglican Hall since June 6th, 1991. The change of name came about when we were joined by a group of embroiderers and then welcomed knitters, crocheters, beaders and others with cross stitch, Sashiko, tapestry and other crafts. We also do machine sewing, bags, clothing and other items, specifically for our Christmas Craft Sale held in November each year and followed by the month of December in the Glen Rock Gallery at the Esk Information Centre, no commission is charged on sales.

Anyone interested in craft is welcome to join us every Thursday from 9.00am until 3.00pm, just bring along whatever you are working on including mats, cutters, etc. and general supplies. We have reasonably priced wadding for sale. Members are always willing to share ideas and offer help to others.

$5.00 per day including morning tea.
